Lori Harrison is a mixed media abstract artist known for her process driven tactile artworks that combine a variety of materials such as linen, wood, plaster, metal, ink and paint. Her work is primarily informed by the idea of beauty in imperfection, specifically entropy, as things move from order to disorder. She is interested in how, through human or environmental processes, urban manufactured environments decay and evolve, shifting from an ordered, right- angled newness towards disorder and chaos. According to the artist, ‘finding beauty in chaos is an act of hope’.
